“I live at the Foyer a supported housing centre in Wrexham. I have lived in many different places all over the UK and have got myself into trouble with drugs but have given that all up now. I’ve been working since I was 15yrs and left home at 14yrs. When I started taking drugs I lost everything, job, bike, that's why I had to move into the Foyer. I'm slowly picking up the pieces and trying to get back on track. I was introduced to this course by my support worker, where I live. I went on a taster session and the course was explained to me“

“From day one I really enjoyed it. I asked Gary about traineeships with Groundwork because I enjoyed the work that we were doing at the nursery a lot. Gary has been a real inspiration to me and one day I'd like to do the same job that Gary is doing, helping other people to improve their lives. This course gets me out of the house, helps me with my mental health issues and addiction problems. It helps me to focus on good things in my life. My confidence has improved big time and my self-esteem. The team that I'm working with is Dafydd, Callum and Owain. We live together at the Foyer. It's brought us closer as friends. I can't explain in words what it means to me, I'm quite emotional about it, I never thought about volunteering before now, it's really opened my eyes. Groundwork has also got me going back to my appointments because I have more enthusiasm. My numeracy and literacy has improved and will keep improving. What I'd like to say is that Groundwork has brought me back to the community. Thank you”undefinedundefined
