FOUNDATION - KEY STAGE 2

DURATION: 9.45am - 2.30pm
Available at:  Groundwork North Wales Education Centre
COST : £215 single group (up to 35 pupils) / £430 double group (up to 70 pupils)

Learners go wild exploring our meadows, woodlands and pond habitats, using their detective skills to:

  • discover the different habitats;
  • gain first-hand experience of where animals can live and how they have adapted to their environment;
  • Introduce food chains, camouflage and warning colours used for survival.

It's an exciting day of discovery with a woodland safari, minibeast shelter-building, pond dipping, and designing a new creature from clay and natural materials to take back to school and continue learning.

At KS3 pupils will look at recoding populations using different sampling techniques such as kick sampling, sweep netting and quadrat sampling.
